Accessibility Policy

Our standard

We build and maintain freedomelectricrolla.com with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, are the widely accepted benchmark for making web content usable by people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

• Keyboard access: every link, button, form field, menu, and slider on the site can be reached and operated without a mouse, and the element you are focused on is always visibly marked.
• Screen reader support: interactive controls carry descriptive labels, decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so they are not read aloud as noise, and page structure uses proper heading levels in order.
• Readable text: body copy and navigation are set no smaller than 18px, and we check color contrast against the actual background behind the text, including text placed over photographs.
• Touch targets: buttons and links are sized to a minimum of 44 by 44 pixels so they can be activated reliably by users with limited dexterity or on small screens.
• Images: every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text explaining what it shows.
• Reduced motion: if your device or browser is set to reduce motion, the animated hero slider and other non-essential movement are minimized automatically.
• Responsive layout: the site is usable at narrow widths and when zoomed, without content being cut off or requiring horizontal scrolling.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We test the site as we make changes and correct issues we find. Some content, particularly third-party components we embed such as the Google reviews display, the map, and the financing prequalification tool, is controlled by outside providers, and we cannot guarantee their conformance. Where a third-party element presents a barrier, we will provide the same information or service another way on request.
